You can get FAT from going on a diet
Have you, like myself, also tried to lose weight and done it all wrong? This is really hard to imagine, but according to recent studies, diets make you fat! Yes, you read right.
Scientists looked at over 30 different diets and found that most of them worked for a while, but then after the initial drop in weight, it all gets put back on again. You may be surprised that a major cause of diets to fail is due to our lifestyle and genetics, not only our state of mind.
When you start, you feel weak and defeated, you’re not thinking straight. You are on a low, because you cannot control your eating. It seems like our mindset controls most things, but not everything. Our mind tells our body something different to what the diet tells us and our metabolism is telling our body to gain weight, can you believe it? Our metabolism has it?s own agenda.
Our bodies have been used to starvation from the stone age onward, and to this day, nothing has changed. Our predecessors couldn’t always find enough food, so their metabolism kicked in to save the fat.
Today, when we want to lose fat we diet, as soon as we do that, our metabolism thinks that there is a famine, our body is starving, so it has to do everything to save the fat for self-preservation and survival.
Our body gets better and better at keeping the fat each time we diet. It learns save us from starvation by keeping the fat. Your body doesn’t know you are on a diet and it is learning to stay fat everytime you go on a diet, it’s only trying to save your life.
Can you lose any weight without going on a diet, because what’s the use, when we restrict our body, we just gain it again.
Lifestyle changes seem to be the right answer like modifying our eating habits and not starving ourselves.
